Confession 1: I expected a dueling banjoes version of the Wedding March when I heard this wedding was going to be located in a swamp.
Confession 2: I was wrong.
Krissie and Norman got married at Obediah’s Okefenok in Waycross, GA – “a swamp attraction”, as the sign read. Turns out Obediah was Krissie’s great-great grandfather and the wedding site, on dry land, was in front of his house – now a historic site. If you’re interested (you know you history buffs are!) here is some more info I just found for ya!
The pathway to the wedding site from the mainland, which you’ll see in the pictures below, did go through the swamp and gave us some pretty rad and different images than we’re used to. I think the fact that you never know what you’re going to get makes being a wedding photographer fun. Keeps us on our toes.
Anyway, on the images. As always, we enjoy comments.
