Getting Fit: Golden Isles Magazine Article Photoshoot

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

An old friend of mine, Leslie Jeter, wrote an article for the current issue of Golden Isles Magazine called Getting Fit. It profiles 5 individuals in our area who are getting fit in their own ways. She called on me to photograph the individuals for the article at East Beach on St Simons Island.

Three of the people profiled are friends of mine and – along with Leslie – are involved in CrossFit. Earlier in the summer when we had more time we participated in their training and boy did we see improvements right away! I look forward to the slow-down of the fall and hope we can get involved again.

Though only four pictures were used in the article, several more were taken and I thought I’d show those to you all as well for the fun of it.

Pick up your copy of Golden Isles Magazine around town. I’d suggest Wake Up Coffee.

Maria + Roy’s Jekyll Island Club Wedding Photography at Cherokee Cottage

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

We got to enjoy a beautiful Saturday afternoon with Maria and Roy at Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s Cherokee Cottage. The scene was set with all white chairs and the sun piercing through the trees on the lawn. The reception was inside Cherokee with After Hours playing a great blend of music.

From the moment we walked in to the time we left I don’t think Maria ever stopped smiling. We love seeing brides who aren’t stressed and can totally enjoy their wedding. It made our job easier because we never had to ask for a smile. We also never had to ask them to “look like they love each other” either. It was all there already. We just had to capture the emotion and love and happiness they shared.

Thanks for choosing us to be your Jekyll Island Wedding Photographer!

Katie + Nick’s Wedding Photos at Shellman Bluff, GA

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

Why do I feel like every wedding is my favorite? Seriously. I can’t choose. It’s like a kid in a candy store that has to choose one piece to take home. Right now, this one is. Maybe it’s because of how fun these two are. Maybe it’s because we wish lived near us so we could hang out and grab coffee with them.

Katie and Nick had a beautiful wedding overlooking the marsh of Shellman Bluff, GA with reception following at the Cooper’s Point clubhouse. The family and the wedding party were so fun to work with. They had a blast – and so did we photographing them.

Congrats Katie and Nick!

If you missed their oh-so-rad engagement session, check it out.
