Megan + Ryan :: A Downtown Savannah Engagement Session

August 19th, 2010

Megan and Ryan were so great to be with. We enjoy working with clients who want unique images and will drive 2.5 hours to get them. They are from a small town in the middle of Georgia and wanted something special that will stand out. Megan saw Wormsloe Historic Site in Savannah, GA on a music video and fell in love. We did too once we got there and started shooting.

After spending some time there we drove to downtown Savannah to River Street by the waterfront. Though it wasn’t part of the plan, the parking garage turned out to be a nice setting and contrasted the nature we were just in. They are such a fun and happy couple and made the session so wonderful. We then headed to the waterfront for some rad photos around all of the old buildings around us.

Congrats Megan and Ryan! We can’t wait for your wedding next June!

Katie + Dino – St. Simons Island Wedding Photography

July 27th, 2010

Katie and Dino were married at St. Simons Presbyterian Church on St Simons Island, GA. It was a beautiful, traditional ceremony. What’s neat to us is earlier this year, Katie was a bridesmaid in her sister Stephanie’s wedding, which we also photographed. Likewise, in Katie’s wedding, Stephanie was a bridesmaid. You also might remember their engagement session with the oh so cute ice photos. Yes, you want to see this.

The reception was held at the St Simons Island Casino (where there is interestingly no gambling ever). We quickly found out how much fun these families like to have. The DJ, Island Sound, kept great dancing music flowing all night which the guests loved. (and we did too!)

Congrats Katie and Dino!

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist – A Savannah Wedding

July 23rd, 2010

“I get to photograph a wedding here?”, I asked myself as I entered the most beautiful church I had ever been in. The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, GA blew me away as I entered to take a look around before the wedding. I may have looked like a kid at Disney World as I’m sure I had a look of awe on my face.

Though the images from that wedding aren’t ready to release yet, I still wanted to show these images off. After I told so many people about it I figured I needed to post some images before my friends and readers got too restless.

I’d love your comments below.
